What we do with your details

Who is responsible

Calchroma Minerals & Additives, proprietor Farid Ramchander, is the data fiduciary for the personal data described here. We are based at Yapral, Hyderabad, Telangana 500087. Farid Ramchander also handles privacy questions and complaints personally — the contact details are in the panel alongside.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry. Your company name, your name, your phone number and your plant location. If you fill them in: the product, your monthly requirement, the application, and anything you write in the notes. We also record which page you sent it from.

When you message us on WhatsApp. Your phone number, the name on your WhatsApp profile, and what you write to us.

When you browse, and only if you accept cookies. Which pages you looked at, roughly which city you are in, your device and browser, and how you arrived.

On every visit. Our host keeps standard server logs, including your IP address, browser and the time. Those keep the site running and secure.

We do not ask for and do not want financial details, identity documents, or anything confidential. Please do not send those through the enquiry form.

Why we use it

• To answer you — confirm the grade, arrange the sample, and quote a landed price against your tonnage
• To keep a record of our dealings, so we can look up what grade you ran and what we quoted
• With your consent, to measure which pages bring enquiries, and to measure our advertising
• To keep the website running, secure and free of abuse

We will not use your details for anything else without asking you first.

On what basis

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 we rely on two things. For your enquiry, on the fact that you gave us those details voluntarily for the specific purpose of getting a sample or a quotation. For analytics and advertising cookies, on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Who else handles it

We keep this list short deliberately. Each of these acts on our instructions:

We do not sell your data, and we do not pass it to other suppliers, traders or agencies. Because those services operate outside India, your data may be processed on servers abroad. The Act permits this except to countries the Government restricts.

How long we keep it

For as long as we are quoting or supplying you, and for three years after our last contact. That is so we can look up what grade you ran and what we quoted if you come back to us. After that we delete it. Ask us to delete it sooner and we will, unless the law requires us to keep it.

Keeping it safe

Access is limited to the people who need it in order to answer you. The accounts holding it are protected, and this site is served over an encrypted connection. No system is perfectly secure and we will not pretend otherwise — but if a breach ever affects your data, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board of India, as the Act requires.

Your rights

You can:

• Ask what personal data we hold about you, and what we have done with it
• Ask us to correct or complete anything that is wrong
• Ask us to erase it
• Withdraw your consent for cookies at any time
• Nominate someone to exercise these rights for you if you die or are unable to act
• Complain to us, and escalate if our answer does not satisfy you

How to ask, and how to complain

If you are not satisfied with how we have dealt with it, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

We use Google Tag Manager to run Google Analytics, Google Ads tags when we are advertising, and HubSpot. That is how we tell which pages bring real enquiries.

Nothing is stored on your device until you answer the banner. Choose Decline and no analytics or advertising cookies are set at all, and the site works exactly the same. Choose Accept and Google and HubSpot record which pages you looked at, roughly which city you are in, what device and browser you used, and how you arrived. HubSpot also sets a cookie that lets us recognise a returning visitor. That does not tell us your name, and we do not connect it to an enquiry you send us.

You can change your mind at any time. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it:

Children

This is a website for businesses. It is not directed at children, we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and we do not use analytics or advertising to profile children.

Changes to this notice

If we change how we handle your details, we will update this page and the date at the top of it.
